Evil never sleeps

In my blackened heart I harbor all my deeds
Boastful though I'm not my conscious does not recede

There is no rhyme or reason as to why the evil is within
What I see as business mortals see as sin

I go over it daily a check list of my past
Trying to have an ephiany but it doesn't last

Hiding in the shadows and dark watches of the night
Its not a problem that I embody wrong and scoff at right

I thieve every joy and crush every delight
People often dismiss me and blame me for their plight

I save all catastrophes for those who stand and mock me
Then feed on their fear when they try to run and break free

I find it amusing that no one ever prays
Until they see me then They and their egos part ways

I've walked the earth for eons gaining in strength
Selfishness and pride knowing no length

There is no limit to what I can conjure up
So many willing to come drink from my cup

Drink it all in watch as things unfold
Completely blind sided as I devour more souls

Mothers wAtch your children precious as they sleep
Fathers stand guard ever protective of your keep

I am always waiting, watching, needing no hire
I will be here when your resolve collapses and your faith tires

I got so many comments on my twighlight poem( which is surprising since it was written in five minutes and I was just goofing off)
At any rate here's another goofing off poem.
Ode to twighlight 2

There once was a girl named Bella
Who loved a most unusual fella

He sparkled in the sun and glittered like gold
He looked like a teenager but was very very old

Wise and extremely well read
He craved life's liquid, blood red

Though they were from two different worlds
Bella's love and passion remained unfurled

She had ups and downs and friends that were sometimes sullen
Through it all Bella was destined to become Mrs. Edward Cullen

Eternal their love immortal forever
A miracle child shows this was true loves endeavor.
