If I wrote a book would you read it
If I gave you my heart would you bleed it

Your true colors are different with me
You never show just how you can be

All around person wonderful shy
Everyone thinking you came from the sky

Noone knows you like I do
Never had to live and fight with you. 

You're not the angelic innocent that you seem
Many nights the prescense that haunts my dreams. 

There is no great accomplishment in what we have done
We just never took the initiative to run
I tire of pretending trying to make it all ok
I lose myself a little more every day. 

Locked inside myself in this life 
Doing the dance of avoiding strife 

My chains engulf my wings 
My Soul wants to fly my heart longs to sing. 

I'm out of arguments and apologies
Turn me lose let me free. 

Writing my life

Letters flow from my pen
Creativity from emotion deep within
Hurt laughter sadness pain
Through sunshine snow or rain.
Living loving birthing dying
Struggling falling searching trying
Ever watchful of my fears
Keeping at bay all my tears
Hearing life speeding by
Sometimes asking what or why
There's no going back to get the brass ring
Going forward is the inevitable thing
Hoping for glory preparing for pain
Being me trying hard without shame.

If you don't like my purple hair
If my tattoos cause you to stare

If my piercings give you a fright
If thoughts of me keep you up at night

What is it you're really thinking 
Is my moral code quickly sinking?

While you're in judgmental thought 
Ponder this before your mind is overwrought 

You haven't even bothered to get to know who I am
I have a good heart and a helping hand

I can be a valiant ally and a grand confidant
I can be a royal bitch and a debutant   

I laugh when I'm happy and mope when I'm blue
I hate lies and dig for what's true

I can be loud and happy as a lark
I can be quiet and seemingly dark

There is much more to me than what's on my exterior. 
Chiming in with society doesn't make you superior. 

So before you step around me to go
Talk to me I'm someone you might like to know.
